Building A Solar Heating System Of Your Own

Why should you depend on some professional concern or individual to erect a solar heating arrangement for your home, when you can erect it yourself?  The idea of erecting their own solar heating arrangement may be bewildering to some people, but if you are eager to learn and get yourself educated, it need not be difficult at all.

If you are right earnest in erecting your solar heating system, then you should be aware that it is a somewhat complicated procedure.  First you should procure a solar home heating kit, comprising of copper links, copper pipes, nickel plates and an aluminum container which supports the solar heating arrangement containing three different parts.

Some specific tools such as an electric screwdriver, blowtorch, sandpaper, screws, joints and tools for cutting the isolating material are required to erect the solar heating system for your home.  Kids should not be around while you are working as it may be hazardous.

Now to start the job: the ends of all the copper links should be cleaned with the sandpaper.  The copper links should be soft soldered to the copper pipes and they should be screwed together. The pipes should be checked whether they are watertight, by forcing water inside them.  Then the aluminum box should be assembled.

The next step is cutting the isolating material to fit in the bottom of the aluminum container and placing it there to be followed by the nickel plates above it and finally the polycarbonate glass on top.

That completes the process of erecting your solar heating system which can provide enough heating for a small house. Keep in mind that this can be done on a bigger scale if heating is required for a bigger house.  When you learn more about solar power for homes you will realize that it is definitely not a hard procedure, if you know what you are doing.
